Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager

We are looking for a project manager to assist with site management and the client selections process. Copia is rapidly expanding and we need a dedicated individual in this role that is interested in growing with us long-term.

This position includes interacting with customers in a professional manner with clear, friendly communication. An ideal candidate will be a licensed architect, demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work with minimal supervision, and work well in both a team environment and independently.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Site visits

- Arranging meetings with clients and the design team

- Work with the design team to create the final design

- Maintain the project schedule within Buildertrend

- Submit applications for building permits

- Meet with lead carpenters regularly for scheduling and planning

- Execute job material orders

- Work with design team and client for owner selections

- Daily morning job site inspections

- Manage carpenter needs and coordinate material deliveries

- Act as a liaison between the design team and carpenters to communicate changes and/or questions

- Act as liaison between the client and the design team with regular touch bases

- Create and release any change orders and follow up

- Edit, update and release daily logs in Buildertrend

- Collect and submit invoices or receipts to the office administrator

- Review time clock and edit cost codes as needed

- Review bills and POs, edit cost codes as needed

- Send out owner invoices

- Collect client payments and submit them to the office administrator

Journeyman Electrician

We are looking for a journeyman electrician to join our rapidly growing company. Ideal candidates will have proven experience as an electrician in a residential setting, with commercial experience being a plus. Candidates are expected to have a reliable vehicle and the essential tools of the trade.

This position includes professionally interacting with customers with clear, friendly communication. An ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, work with minimal supervision, and work well in both a team environment and independently.

Responsibilities

- Plan layout, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment;

- Train and manage electrical apprentices and improve their productivity

- Interpret specifications, blueprints, take stock lists and job orders to workers and assigned duties

- Provide world-class customer service to our customers daily

- Manage job site personnel for construction jobs

- Work on all size projects and assist our construction division as needed

Qualifications

- Previous residential renovation, additions, and new construction experience

- Strong organizational skills for future leadership positions

- Valid and current journeyman's license

- Minimum of two (2) years electrical installation experience in a residential setting

- Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record

- Clean background check

- Own tools of the trade

- Must take pride in your work and perform work of the highest quality

- A good attitude and a high level of motivation

Experienced Carpenter

We need an experienced carpenter to join our rapidly growing company. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in residential carpentry from rough framing to finish. A construction supervisor license is not required. Candidates are expected to have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and the basic tools of the trade.

This position includes interacting with customers in a professional manner with clear, friendly communication. An ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills, and work well in both a team environment and independently.

Carpenter Apprentice/Laborer

If you are looking to learn a trade and be part of a great team, you may be a fit for our apprentice/laborer position. You will work with master and journeyman carpenters with years of experience. Our goal is to make you a master carpenter someday.

Real Estate Agent

We are seeking both new and experienced real estate agents to join our rapidly growing company. As a Copia agent, you will be uniquely positioned to have a full team of both real estate and construction professionals to support you. 

Ideal candidates will provide exceptional and timely real estate services to clients, be willing to learn and grow, and communicate effectively among the team and clients.

Other qualifications include:

- A real estate license is required

- Must be or become an MLS (multiple listing service) and Realtor member

- Be able to self-manage business processes including paperwork and client communications

- Must have a cell phone and laptop

- Willingness to receive training or coaching by the managing broker, manager, or lead agent

- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset

- A positive and professional attitude


Additional responsibilities include:

-  Network and seek referrals to increase client roster

- Advise clients on how to stage, market, and sell their home quickly and profitably 

- Promote Copia’s construction services in both renovation and new construction home building when appropriate
